@PeteThamel
New: Nick Rolovich's lawyer releases a statement saying that he's taking legal action against Washington State and all parties responsible "for his illegal termination." He accuses AD Pat Chun of "discriminatory and vindictive" behavior.
BREAKING: Just got the statement from #Rolovich's attorney. "It is a tragic and damning commentary on our culture, and more specifically, on Chun, that Coach Rolovich has been derided, demonized, and ultimately fired from his job, merely for being devout in his Catholic faith."
This statement reveals that Rolovich’s religious exemption application was denied in the blind review step — and not by Chun and other athletic department personnel.
It also says that Chun “determined” Rolovich would be fired in April. The mandate was announced in August.

Sure he did

I hope he gets a fair judge.

He’ll get paid out the remainder of his contract and probably get punitive damages to boot.

Good. I hope he owns that place when the smoke clears.

It’s Washington. The Judge he gets will be two steps to the right of Mao.

I’m actually surprised that they didn't try to negotiate a settlement when they canned him instead of firing him for cause. You would think they wouldn’t want to headache or court hassle, but I guess they just couldn’t resist some good virtue signaling.

Fixed it for you

I would be stunned if he actually wins anything

Oooh. He might have a chance. Harm was done so he will have standing and there is SOTUS precedent for religious exemptions.

He faces an uphill battle.
Nonetheless I wish him the best. All of the papers (Seattle Times, etc) openly boasted in their articles breaking the news of his firing that he would get nothing from his contract because he was fired with cause.
I would be quite pleased if it turns out otherwise.

Of course they did. EVERY leftist in this country wants this to happen to anyone that doesn't walk lock step with their ideology.
Make no mistake: these people want you fleeced, jailed, and killed. That's why they openly cheer things like this.

They’ll probably make the coach pay for damages for potentially exposing the school faculty and students to a dangerous virus

It all boils down to... people are losing their jobs because others are not getting enough kick back from the vaccine.
