this isn't even just politics and news outlets
this is politics, media outlets, the entertainment industry, all the way down to black churches
there is a reason why prominent black churches or promising future leaders have been told to either completely change their anti-LGBT stances or ignore LGBT issues entirely or else they risk being ostracized (of both their face and from money)
this does not exist on the right. if it did, Trump would have NEVER gotten the Evangelical vote. hell even the moderate establishment GOP candidates in 2016 catered to the crazy Evangelicals out of fear of annoying them. if the GOP had the same structure/power as te DNC, Trump wouldn't have stood a chance
