Many southern conservatives in the 1960s were Democrats, today all southern conservatives are Republicans. Do you disagree with this?

In the 1840s, the 1860s, 1880s, 1900s, 1930s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1990s, today all of the racist pieces of shite are and were Democrats, they've just had to change the propaganda along the way

He started in on southern democrats then when asked to give examples he uses a California politician. It’s deflection or ignorance, I just can’t tell which.

So at first you said “the switch” happened in the 60s during the civil rights movement and now you’re saying it took 30 years to happen. The part you’re not seeing is the Dems ended up landing back where they were 31 years before. You’re like a spouse in denial about being cheated on.

Do you disagree with the statement that there were many conservative Democrats in the south pre 1980?

And there have been far more defections since 2000 than there were in the 60s, was that a "switch back" or a "double top turn buckle switch a rooskie" or just normal people figuring out their political leanings over time?

A lot? Almost every conservative in the south today is a Republican. That is why the majority of the southern state senate and houses as well as governors are Republicans. In the 1960s it was different and many conservatives were Democrats, hence more Democrats were elected in the south during this time.

Wrong I said you kept refusing to answer. Now you keep using anecdotal examples but you haven’t given any facts about the party’s ideological and practical switches. For example I can show you Klan Democrats like Robert Byrd directly connecting and heavily influencing our current Democrat leaders at the very top of the party. (The Clintons, Biden, Obama even praised him). Can you show “the switch” actually moving the party away from their old practices?

I can only tell you what I know of the monuments in parts of North Mississippi and that is patently false. I don't have enough knowledge to know how much truth or context has been omitted in the rest of your statement. I will, when time allows , look deeper into this. Thanks.

You’re 100% wrong on that. There are tons of conservative Democrats in the south. You simply don’t know what you’re talking about here.

I believe that you will Toddy, and I know that you have an open mind to truth, you'll be shocked at what you'll find but its there.

Look at the Democrats that do hold office in the south currently. Which ones would you consider conservatives?
