When I heard he was arrested in Mexico, and that Maxine Waters was so so disappointed that they wouldn't be hearing from him I knew he was on his way to being buried. Is it bad I just roll my eyes at this stuff now?

Are you really asking?

Maxine originally said he wouldn't testify, then under pressure semi threatened him to testify or she may subpoena... he agrees to virtually and then the day before he is set to, he is arrested at the direction of the feds, thus making him ineligible to testify?

This should have happened weeks ago and its amazing his gf is walking the streets of NYC. Both should be in custody.

That makes more sense if he was supposed to video testify.

We shall see.

If he is suddenly excused from testifying or God forbid has an unfortunate mishap in the shower it will be one of the most glaring instances of government interference.

My guess is they want him in custody because he is obviously a flight risk, and they want him in person in front of congress.

But if i'm wrong and the democrats bail him out and protect him it should cause major disturbance in the force.

He was scheduled to testify in Congress, but remotely from the Bahamas, which seemed weird…

Rush always said everything is political.

If you view this from that prism, then yes, it was to prevent him from testifying.

In the covidian era, remote testimony is all too familiar. Maxine was happy to do it remotely.

He was arrested so he can be Epstein’d in his jail cell. He will never testify before Congress.

Maybe he would have just kept pleading the 5th ammendment or the other bs statement these people repeat in order to not answer questions

Well, personally to see the looks of utter frustration and confusion on politicians faces as Bankman talks in circles and says nothing. Really just for the show.

From a serious standpoint it's time he was charged.Actually surprised though that it took this long.

Was he scheduled to testify or subpoenaed to testify?

I thought it was only the latter.

this new theme/conspiracy

I do my best not to indulge conspiracy theories, but anyone with an IQ north of 60 would question why a witness of this magnitude was suddenly detained on the eve of his testimony.

In fairness, even NPR had a host of people questioning why he was running around doing interviews. He was digging a legal hole faster and deeper every time he opened his mouth. That said, no one was stopping him until he had to face the music on the hill. You'd have to be grossly naïve to think that is coincidental.

I really wonder what y'all think he would discuss in the circus that is Congressional testimony.

When was the last Congressional testimony that led to legit bombshells and not just PR questions that were crafted to go on social media?

I believe the indictment is going to be unsealed today. THAT will tell the tale.

No, as explained above

oh stfu - you are defecting from the obvious reality.

he was about to be exposed in a way that your propaganda media could not easily cover up.

he was going to have to answer for his overwhelming support to the DEM cause while pretending to 'give to both sides' - he was going to have to demonstrate total ignorance/incompetence as the only answer to the pregnant question - his protective shield from the Biden admin was going to be exposed.

So - how to avoid all this? === 'arrest' him - secretly interview him with no notes taken - offer him some chances to 'get right' - provide some immunities for 'more info' - destroy all evidence in his possession = secretly identify others in the scheme who may point back to DNC influence -

you know - the same exercise they ran with Hillary Clinton for the "private server' debacle and the 'Mueller Investigation' for the 'Russia collusion' hoax.

maybe even remind him how those poor souls like Epstein, Seth Rich, et al fared if 'things get out of hand' -

Yeah the GOP doesn't even control the house/committee that would be asking him questions. This is all just stupidity to flame the fires of CTs.

Can't wait for the spin once the bankruptcy and criminal trial publicly prove that there weren't "tens of billions" of US public funds being routed to pols via FTX via Ukraine. That idiotic CT has died on the vine, already.
