re: Was it Charlie’s message or Charlie himself that attracted all the young people…..

I think the uniqueness was most important. Lots of people speak to college students and might have a short Q and A. Kirk's format was very unique and college kids wanted to be a part of it and see what happened on their campus.

Neither. He got shot by a crazy person.

I think it’s both. The message resonates with people who are being left out of the conversation because it’s a now a lecture rather than a conversation, and Charlie’s delivery, quickness, knowledge, honesty and candidness was beloved as well.

He was better than them in debate.

I was watching one of his clips just today and he asked the guy he was debating with what his degree was and it was in Economics.
Charlie then went on and literally named about 8-10 people first and last names of essentially the founding fathers of economics here in America and around the World all while discussing the guys education so far in college.
I just was floored by the vast amount of useable knowledge he had at basically such a young age.
Charlie was so special, not just anyone can do what he did with a Heart that seemed to be as his Brain all while educating others in live time.
But, I still have hope that the movement will grow bigger and attract other intelligent speakers to fill the void.

I also watched him to the same thing with Biblical knowledge. Book, Chapter, and Verse. Over and over straight from memory.
This is why I don't think anyONE can step up to the mike. He was just that singularly smart and sharp.
