WATCH: Hilarious video of Elizabeth Warren describing about how hard it was for her "oppressed" parents to get married because her Mom was a "Cherokee Indian."

In her defense, she does say 'part', not just Cherokee.

She's still a liar, though.

She implies that "Cherokee part" was an issue for them in getting married. Seriously?

This is intellectually dishonest and just a flat lie.

Her mother could well be part NA. If Liawatha's 0.1% NA is through her mother's side of the family, her mother would be about 0.2% NA. But not more than that 0.2%.

There were more Cherokee than most tribes, and they mixed with whites more than most tribes.

A large percentage of those who settled the southern U.S. immigrated through the Carolinas, and Virginia. (Including the ancestors of 3 of my 4 grandparents.) More men than women, they married women from NA tribes. The Cherokee were a large NA tribe in that area. From Ancestry.com, I've found out I am 1/516 Cherokee. (That's <0.2%, but twice as much as Liawatha has been able to demonstrate.)

The very newspaper supporting her claim forgets an article they wrote in 2012. Elizabeths mom does not look indian.
quote:

Fried said he learned about Warren’s Cherokee and Delaware background later when he found a picture of Warren’s mother and asked her about it. Both Warren’s grandparents on her mother’s side had Native American lineage, her campaign said yesterday.

Christopher Child, a genealogist at the New England Historic and Genealogical Society, traced back Warren’s family to her great-grandfather on her mother’s side and couldn’t find any proof of Native American heritage.

“In her immediate pedigree there is no one who is listing themselves as not white,” said Child, who has researched the heritage of several prominent politicians.

He added that finding Native American lineage is not always easy: “Both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama claim to have Native American heritage, but we were never able to find evidence of that, and in both cases we traced their ancestry fairly thoroughly.”

Pocahontas is being hammered on twitter; on her twitter page she quit talking about the indian thing and desperately tweeted how everything is rigged and she will fix it.
