I have all types of reasons why the vote should be tallied differently....but I quit dreaming, as it will NEVER happen.

I love this idea. Votes for right wing candidates should be worth 1/6 as much. It’s a great idea.

I bet you do, it would save your party the effort of stuffing ballot boxes

You misread my post.

If you receive a federal benefit you HAVE paid for (in taxes or in kind [i.e., service]), you are not barred from voting

It would be a lot easier if you just admitted that you are in support of a one party dictatorship. Your big decision is to model it after the Communist system or the Geman system of Hitler.

But you do overlook 2 things, Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely and what happens to you as an individual when the ruling group decides they don't need you anymore? After all there are no more opposition groups and once in power you are guaranteed to not lose any future so called elections.

What if (for example) you’ve paid a little taxes but gotten a LOT in benefits?

I see what you did there and vehemently agree. Not signed up to die for the country then you don't get a say in how it run.

If you don't own property, you should be barred from voting in property tax elections.

If you don't believe that landlords pass the cost of property taxes on to their tenants, you're a fricking moron.
