For decades, Republicans neglected and dismissed this age group because they didn't vote in numbers that mattered. Consequently, conservatives made no effort to win them over. Better to neglect them than to cultivate a new voting block they could risk losing.
Then along comes Bill Clinton, his ray-bans and a saxophone. The Democrats started playing the long game and while they were putting Clinton on MTV, we were pointing and laughing.
All this began in earnest in the early 90's, carried through the 2010's and has culminated into an overflowing orchard of voters, conservatives and the Republican party spent decades waving away.
Conservatism has lost the American culture war and instead of taking responsibility for its historic failures, it points the finger at fraud and assumes a helpless victim role.
The conservative movement in this country and the people who live in echo chambers just like this one have hit rock fricking bottom.
