I stopped by my area in Highlands this morning and it was a decently long line that was down the stairs and out the door. I think at 7:30 there were a few hundred on the machine I submitted my ballot to.

When I ride through Mt. Brook (old leeds rd area) all I see is support for Dems.

I can’t even fathom what mentality it takes to get upset about having to show a drivers license to vote

That area, especially around the highlands day school area, will be pretty Dem heavy. Were these federal support signs or local though?

No. Those are appointed and since the salaries are huge there are no shortages of applicants. Who must go through a rigorous screening process and examination and keep abreast of who's the big time players on opposing rosters so we can eliminate as many as possible the game before we meet them. So this means we need a big crew. Refereeing not only the Bama game but those of any possible upstart teams who need to lose. The goal of course is a minimum of 2 losses conference wide for all schools except the Tide. Ocasionally, like UGA last year, we'll only issue one defeat to a rival to build a huge finishing show. Since both Emmert and Sankey are part of the deal we do allow them one strike and one appointment each. It's quite complicated as the LSU fans have discovered and of course AU has been aware of for years. UA does bow to the state of Alabama legislature and allows AU to win them all occasionally and will consider an out of state school from time to time and throws a bone to other conferences as well as need arises. Hope that helps.

Also beware of the males driving a Honda Car. Obama voters, Bi at best and employed at a pet store.

That area voted pretty heavily for Trump. I would wager it will be strong republican. No one in mountain brook wants people to know they are strong conservatives. Democrats love to brag about their vote. I live there, in laws live there and are extremely conservative, as well as everyone I know except for the democrats who want everyone to know who they voted for.

Voted in Fultondale at 2 and didn't have to wait in line. I didn't vote straight Republican so I could write in Trump Jr instead of voting for Zeigler and I wrote in Trump Jr on all unopposed Democrats.

I wanted to let them know I had been there.

2 machines ~1200 people had voted total

Any important races in Alabama?
Can't believe that POS Jones is in the Senate until 2022.
Talk about a two-fer, Sessions napping in the AG's office and Jones in his Senate Seat for another 4 years. Trump's biggest mistake by far.

The funny thing about voting in Shelby county was there were maybe 3 Dems on the entire ballot. One was running for governor and I think the other 2 were running for judges.

They quickly put my ID on the tray without looking at the front. I did not see my picture on the tablet screen. What's the point?
