Crowds were heavy. Same as 2016 and some polling stations as heavier then 2016. Proudly showed my ID to vote.

Went to vote at 7:30. Longest lines I've ever seen at the polling station. Location is deep red. Going back at 10 to vote.

I voted in BHM. Crowd was light. In and out in 5 minutes @ 740. I gave my ballot the D.

You boys electing new SEC referees this year, or is that a four year thing?

Couldn't even get to my polling station this AM. Had to turn around and go to work. Will try again around noon.

Heavy crowds in Alabama this morning. They actually scan our Drivers License... I love it.

We'll vote once the wife comes home from work. I go to work too early before the polls are even open. We are seeing more and more influx of outsiders in our area turning it a lighter shade of purple...but for the most part it remains red.

Wife votes straight ticket (Republican) and I vote straight Republican also, but I don't use the Party vote at the top of the ballot. This is Alabama you know...so I select each Republican candidate.

Line was long in Mobile. Good news is it took about 5 minutes to breeze through which means that straight "R" was penciled in. Lots of businessmen, young moms and old people. I'd say easily 95% Republican vote.

Good sign.

At my polling place in Hoover, the line was out the door and around the corner when my wife and I showed up at 7:30. I've never seen that kind of turnout for a midterm election. We both happily voted straight Republican ticket and went on our merry way.

Congrats on doing your part to keep Birmingham a dysfunctional city that will perpetually be behind Huntsville.

At least your not Montgomery though I guess.
