The Dems are voting to kick him. That means 5 Reps. have to vote that way. I am pretty sure there is 5.

Do you apply the same standards when a candidate promises to repeal and replace Obama care? Or promise to build a wall the Mexico pays for?

Is the President part of the Legislative branch?

They are supposed to do what their constituents tell them to do. Not what they themselves THINK.
I can't imagine that there are many Americans that want to see another dollar sent to Ukraine until something is done with our border. But if Ukraine asks another billion will be sent. And the Rep will stand up and say, "it's the RIGHT thing to do."

He was out sick the day they taught civics in Civics class.

It's all part of the same process. Are we pretending that the President doesn't participate in the legislative process to get its preferred legislation passed?

People blame Trump for the failures of the Paul Ryan no-name wing of the party. Then, they support alternatives from that wing of the party.
See post above which was right on time.

That was a lot of words to say no.

Gaetz likely has the votes to pull this off, the question is will those who voted against him be willing to vote for whomever he supports (or him, if he runs) or will they allow enough of a split to give the Democrats the opportunity to slide a minority Speaker in?

This ^.
Hard to get those things done when the Dems. AND the GOPe fights you tooth and nail. It is amazing that he was able to accomplish what he did. Imagine if he would have received a tiny bit of support what could have been done.

Well they got the tax cut passed and flipped the federal judiciary (including the Supreme Court).
The GOPE did a lot of good things during the Trump admin.

But is he part of the Legislative branch? A simple yes or no will suffice.
