Do you people have any smarts at all? ITS BRILIANT. Do what the Dems do, play to the voters who are pro what you are REALLY AGAINST, why? Because in State Gov. it matters not, all this is handled at the Federal Levels of Gov. Trump is the final decision maker on all these things, Vivek knows this. Its what the Clintons call TRIANGULATING.
Now IF he was running forb the US Senate, a House Seat, or the Presidency, then it would atter. As a Gov. just say what will get you a bigger subset of Dem votes. The Dems LIE about no new taxes then RAISE TAXES, same thing. At the local and/or state level it matters not.

The poster I was responding to asked why should they support someone actively looking to replace them.
My point was Vivek can't do anything about immigration as Ohio Governor so whatever he says shouldn't factor into whether to vote for him.

Your assertion that he doesn’t control H1B isn’t entirely true. He may not directly make those decisions, but he’s stating he will create an environment that’s favorable for them if elected that the federal government can exploit.

He's not perfect, but he has pretty good understanding of limited government and the constitution.
Technically he is right in philosophy when it comes to immigration. If it's merit based, they come here for the right reasons and they assimilate, that's great.
But the timing on it isn't great and he should probably recognize the amount of water already in the boat.
