It looks like what Virginia gun owners needed was a wake up call. Or more accurately, a wake up slap in the face.
Ever since Bloomberg bought himself a blue Virginia and stacked it with eager anti-gun legislators, we’ve told you how the state is on fire with pro-gun rights sentiment.
County after county has joined the Second Amendment Sanctuary list, totaling 42 counties in less than six weeks.
Add one more sheriff to the list of Second Amendment heroes.
Sheriff Scott Jenkins of Culpepper County, VA made a post on his official county Facebook page pledging to support the Second Amendment. In the post made on December 4th, Jenkins went so far as to say that he has a strategy if gun control comes knocking:
“I plan to properly screen and deputize thousands of our law-abiding citizens to protect their constitutional right to own firearms.”

Just when I thought all VA was lost. God bless that man.

I will say this. Gov Coonman and the new Dem house/Senate have 28 different gun legislation they want passed and Va. finally woke up and said "frick this". A few Counties have said they will be a Gun Sanctuary county and a few more are planning to join them.

Virginia will fight back against the progs in NOVA.

The state has split before. Maybe it should again.
NoVA can become DC Heights, or join DC directly, while the other 90% of the state moves on.

I’m from VA. During all my time there we considered NOVA a different entity. The DC disease has spread too far.

Culpepper is rough, and often very poor.
God bless them.

I wonder if you put the part of VA that used to be DC back in the district, how much that would dilute the rest of the state.

Praise the Lord, and pass the ammunition!

I don’t necessarily understand my own culture, there are a lot of unspoken and dimly understood rules.
I remember being taught that I wasn’t any better than people poorer than me. So when outsiders mock poor whites, it bothers me. They have no right to, and it only speaks to the immense poverty of their character when they do so.
I also understand there are profound limits to what I can ask other people to do. I don’t get to tell people to do something.
And I’m never allowed to interfere in someone else affairs.
That may be the Scotch Irish influence. It could be a legacy of feudalism.
These outsiders are in for world of hurt, because we simply won’t recognize their attempts to change us. To impose their rules on us. They don’t have standing, that’s the best way I can put it.
The governor can say what he wants. And the Democrats can push through whatever laws they want to.
We won’t permit them to rule us. They didn’t earn the right to.

What’s up dude? I may be up at Hooters Sunday around 1:00 since the Saints aren’t on TV locally. Huge game for them. Come on up if you’re free.

Taking the boy to a baseball recruiting event or I would.
If it ends early I’ll walk up and have a beer.

Sweet. Best of luck. My bro-in-law told me he’s really good.
ETA: That would be cool. What time does it start?

I live here in Virginia. Trust me. It's northern Virginia that is lost. Areas like Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, and the like are gone forever due to the Yankee transplants. You get south of Fredericksburg and you start to see a change in political persuasion.
