Police are allowed to enter every interaction expecting the worse, so they are allowed to take precaution to protect themselves, yet when citizens take precautions like driving to well lit areas cops pretend like they don't understand why someone would be fearful.
The Last normal year in 2019 48 cops were killed nation wide by citizens. 44 shot and 4 ran over by a vehicle.Over 1000 citizens were killed by cops for the 3rd year in a row in 2019.
228 cops committed suicide. So cops are almost 5 times more likely to take their own life then they are to be killed by a citizen.
The stats do not validate this irrational fear cops have. In fact I would argue cops don't actually fear the public they just have a low level of respect and outright contempt for the public.
Anytime they get an opportunity to emasculate, intimidate, or cause harm to a citizen lots of them will take it.
They will feign fear or tout officer safety reasons to justify their bull shite.

Plenty? Meh. Many, many more are dead because they didn’t comply. Caron Nazario WAS NOT trying to comply. He chose to make that confrontation worse by playing oppressed, and acting like he was entitled to be in charge of that traffic stop.
You’ve made it clear you think all cops are bad. But whether they are all bad, or all good, or somewhere in between, your chances of a bad outcome escalate greatly when you don’t comply. I'm sorry the FBI doesn't track numbers of compliant victims Blown away by police. All we can go by is the dozens that were caught on Camera.

In 2019 over 47,000 US citizens committed suicide so a civilian is 45ish times more likely to take their on life than be killed by a cop (even if justified)
