Once the police draw their weapons only an idiot would try to comply with conflicting commands. That's what got Daniel Shaver killed in that hotel hallway in Arizona.
He did the right thing. Once guns are drawn you make sure hands are visible and let them come get you. They were looking for any reason to shoot this guy. They intended to escalate the whole altercation from the beginning by trying to make it a felony evading.
You can tell there was no real fear from the officers. Especially the one that just casually holstered his gun then pulled out his pepper spray.
If you feel this guy is threat no way do you put away a gun and pull out some pepper spray.
He did that shite just because he could. frick him and his posterity.

I believe most of them are generally good people just doing their jobs. They are put in tough situations. That doesn’t mean I’m going to defend every action by an officer though. These two were way out of line and are totally the opposite of how a police officer should handle himself.

I disagree with most of them being good people. Certain professions attract the dregs of society and law enforcement is one those professions.
Domestic Abuse
Alcoholism
Steroid Abuse
Mental Illnesses
Extremely high Suicide Rates
all of these are serious problems among law enforcement.
These people are not our best.

I used to think it was “most”. Now I think it’s “some”. Spending some time on a firearm forum that had a lot of LE was an eye opener for me. They have the strongest, circle-the-wagons tribal mentality I’ve ever seen, and that includes combat arms.

I don't think anyone is going to deny that there are bad cops,
Are you sure about that? Based on the some of the comments I’ve seen here about Derek Chauvin being a innocent, a saint, etc., I think there are some people who genuinely believe there is no such thing as a bad cop.

In the heat of the moment with two cops yelling at me with guns drawn, I doubt this would have occurred to me. In high stress situations your ability to mentally processes and take action greatly diminishes.
If he would have complied from the get go there wouldn't have been all that...

Link?

Why did they feel the need to pull their service weapon?
Because they have a blacked out vehicle with no tag, a non-compliant driver, and no ability to know who else might be in said vehicle

This is the shite I don't understand.
When a citizen says they are fearful of screaming armed men with weapons drawn we dismiss it.
Yet we are supposed to believe armed men, that have tactical gear and the backup are fearful of normal citizens?
Why do we allow cops to feign irrational fear of the citizenry?
Cops don't enter interactions with citizens in good faith, but yet citizens are expected to do so. It makes no sense.

We need to end qualified immunity, but we also need to pay cops more to attract better candidates. Qualified immunity is a tacit admission that there are enough cops on the payroll right now who are either too stupid to follow the law, and/or are thugs who intentionally violate the law. Without qualified immunity we wouldn’t be able to retain enough police. Solution is to pay them more to attract better applicants.

First off, wtf?
The military has turned into a bunch of woke fricks.
Stop the fricking car. Don't drive for 10 miles to a week lit area or you just caused tensions to be raised to begin with.
When they tell you to get out of the vehicle, slowly get out of the vehicle.
Don't not listen to lawful instructions.
You just led them in a low speed chase in essence to make a political point.
You refused to get out of the vehicle to make a point.
You could've pulled over immediately in a darker area and had a nice conversation with the officer.
Jesus, I'm not a police supporter all the time. But dig yourself a hole by not stopping and tippy already put yourself in a hole.
He's afraid of being shot by a cop? Well he's going to be a great leader when he is leading people against enemies that actually want to shoot him.
But trying to make a point works real well. Cops don't know you from Adam. Your truth shouldn't matter. Just fricking pull over. The police officer would tell you to move forward to a different location.

Well put. That is my main problem with what happened in this situation.

I’m not sure ending it is practical or not, but it definitely needs reform at a minimum. The fact that you can get hit with a stray bullet or they can kill your dog because a suspect ran through your back yard, all with zero consequences, is insane.

Exactly!! Always record your interactions with cops!!

Missed the part where he was trying to argue one way or the other. Baw can’t inform people of shut just like everyone else that posts links to things?
Is this not America???.....the baw can’t post a video of some cops acting like totally jack asses and should have there asses beat.
You can’t handle a narrative different to yours? If you know there are shite cops (99.9% not the case)....which you stated everyone knows....what is the issue here?
