Sane people who are pointing out how utterly shitty progressives are.

Sensationalist headlines with bare facts designed only to enrage you and keep you mad at “them,” whoever “them” is…

Or, maybe New York shouldn't violate this man's God-given right to defend himself as per the Constitution.

Id respond by saying the same thing John Adams did about our system of government when they enacted it: that mentality only works with like minded people operating with Christian values even if they aren’t in fact Christian

Bingo.

It’s objectively proven to be the optimal social and cultural mechanism for maximization of wealth, freedoms and limiting oppression for those within the system.

NYC courts are a revolving door for dangerous criminals, but an old guy defending himself with a gun crosses the insane ideological barrier of dems.

It's an absurdity.

I wouldn't.

Prior to the series of unfortunate marine mishaps, I'd have likely been guilty of possession of an entire armory.

Well, he was charged with 25 counts of illegal possession, so it is reasonable to infer that he possessed at least 25 illegal firearms. From a New York Post article:
quote:

police later found “approximately 26 firearms, including pistols, shotguns, rifles, an AK 47, two body armor vests and multiple rounds of ammunition” in his home. Of the cache of weapons, only five rifles were licensed
FTR, he was not even charged with any crime for the shooting. All charges related to possession of the illegal weapons.

Also FTR, I think that the Constitution guarantees his right to possess those weapons. I am undecided as to whether registration requirements violate the Second Amendment. I lean towards "no" most days, because I do not see registration as an "infringement" on possession.

That's no arsenal.

Screw NY.

No telling how many innocent lives that old man saved by doing what our government should be doing but don’t. He should be celebrated and made into a martyr and hero. At least that would give him something in jail.

You can damn well bet that those who prosecuted him are not vulnerable to the sociopathic thugs who curse the good folk in their peaceful communities. At some point the pendulum will swing hard back and it will be vigilante justice that defends civility and functional society. Leftist government has abandoned that cause for the (Satanic?) DEI delusion.

“Behold, I will send them great delusion that they will believe a lie”. Seeing is believing for them that “have eyes that see”.

Strap in.

You make a great point. It would be interesting to see how these leftist lawyers and lawmakers might change over time if they were forced to live in the neighborhoods where these thugs and gangsters prowl for their victims.

Correct. Progressives are shameless pieces of human garbage that will defend their failure at all costs. What he is calling for is censorship so his failures aren’t advertised

This should go all of the way to the SC if need be. And he should move to a state where none of that would be a crime. States often don't extradite for things they don't consider a crime.
