I’ve said here repeatedly that along with DeSantis, Noem has been one of the better Repube governors.

That still doesn’t excuse the atrocity of Noem vetoing the 2021 “trans” sport bill.

To add to the outrage, Noem engaged in doublespeak on this matter while embedded entities in her own administration put their own vested interests above the health and emotional well being of minor children.

Very few politicians came out smelling like a rose after the arse-raping inflicted upon our rights during this COVID-1984 nightmare. Certainly Democons in Deep Blue States openly flaunted their tyrannical propensities but with few exceptions (Noem certainly being one) even governors in the reddest of Red States revealed their latent goose-stepping tendencies.

And still no one has been held responsible for the undeniable lies that predicated nearly every measure taken by governments at both the State and Federal level during the pandemic. It was a very revealing time in American political history.

Trump is the one who gave in to the globalists. He should have went with his initial gut to push through Covid and he caved.

I’m confused by trump’s desire to make this an issue when he did so much wrong over Covid.

This is one of my biggest negatives over Yrump’s term right next to not firing every Obama holdover.

De Santis shut down vacation rentals in Fl until after June 2020. Hotels ok, Condo rentals not ok.

#1 dumbest thing I saw in Covid 2020 with mask mandates a close 2nd.

That's not true. Did you read the FORM and STYLE letter? The problem was never with minors or K-12. She wanted the specific wording of "accredited elementary and secondary schools" instead of the original wording of "public schools" so that all accredited K12 schools, private schools and charter schools in the state would be under the law, not just state public schools. It wasn't an atrocity to include every minor in the state education program.

The problem was also with college and beyond and that's where the bill fell apart at the override, and it took down the whole bill, which is why Noem issued two executive orders that effectively implemented the policy articulated in the vetoed legislation. What should have happened was to split this into a minor protection bill and a separate collegiate bill so that if they are sued over the college portion it wouldn't effect the entire bill. I'm not sure if it would anyway. The wording is different in the bill that was passed and the steroid testing and paperwork from the 2021 veto is gone also.

It looks like the legislature worked with the governor this time and got it passed. She didn't just pass it it's a very different bill.
