You’re agreeing with a guy that doesn’t know the difference between straight and strait.

90% of that was done per their own words after like 3-4 days.

Why did we spend $80B over a month+, threaten genocide and then agree to a deal that leaves us in a worse position with them then we were when we started and allows China to rearm them better than they were before using oil revenue?

Lol you’ve already written the end of a story that’s far from being over with yet. And of course imagined it in the absolute worst possible light for Trump, worst case scenario(s). Which don’t forget, yours is a work of fiction.

Even though your comment makes no sense, I'll play along. Is that as bad as completely ignoring reality in blind support of your leader?

I don't know.

I do know that no deal has been set in stone, and that in fact negotiations don't officially begin until Friday.

My confidence isn't in that I know exactly what Trump is doing, but that in all he does, despite the doomsayers, things tend to work out. I'm satisfied with that.

I’m quoting the 10 point terms that the Iranians demanded we accept before they’d even sit down at the table.

Do they get all of them? I don’t know.

I do know per current reporting that was the baseline for negotiations.

Have you read the articles?
Times of India: US-Iran Proposed Peace Terms

Do you have evidence that isn’t the baseline for a deal? I’m open to it and hope it isn’t what we agreed to in order to open the strait.

When you question these things the maga neocon cult will just accuse you of being from Reddit or DU. They don’t want to hear any criticism or critical thinking.

That isn’t making good sense. That the Iranians demand we accept before they even sit down at the table. Uhh, no sir. Lol

Well then you even say “will they get all of those, I don’t know” which doesn’t reconcile with the above statement at all. Under your scenario if they don’t get them all before they even sit down, then there ain’t gonna be any negotiations to begin with.

You don’t have good sense either apparently. And only one cop out come-back. Which I guess I can see why it is all you can come up with.

It’s just repeating propaganda and spinning this 2 week push back into a win.

The US hasn’t “won” anything at this point. Iran still controls the strait

And somehow are doing this with a completely decimated and obliterated air force and navy. Pretty neat trick if you think about it.

Trump is the most transactional politician of my lifetime.

He will add and remove people from his coalition as he sees fit and less than a month ago I was informed I’m not maga if I continue to support the things I did during the campaign.

So I’m happy to reciprocate: when Trump does things I like I’ll support them and him happily. When he does something that’s against my political agenda I’ll criticize him just as he did many who have been in his corner for years.

If you criticize things he says after doing a complete 180 on stuff he campaigned on, well, you’re a lib

I just can’t shake the feeling that when you don’t have anything reasonably decent to say specifically on topic, you revert back to this “cult” and “you’re a lib if you disagree even just a little bit,” ostensibly to have something to say. But bro, I would submit that most often in such a situation it’s best just to not say anything at all, at least in that moment.

Because why did you even bring “cult” and “disagreeable lib” into this in the first place??

Can someone explain to me how the 2 million dollar tax per tanker in the previously untaxed straight is a win vs the prewar position?

It's complicated.

But there's no telling if that tax will even happen. This all has to shake out over weeks and months.
I’ll bet $1 the US ends up paying the “tax” for every body that passes. “It’s cheaper than usin the Navy to keep it open, Trumps a genius for negotiating thst deal” SealTeam45 will clap.
