They really need to start telling them, fine you want them in this country, we're putting them in your neighborhoods, schools and buildings/apts/homes and they won't be allowed to leave those areas.

This is the best idea.
Except I'm pretty sure current law requires us to allow in people seeking asylum.

With huge Executive branch discretion in defining asylum seekers. The Biden/Obama administrations absolutely coached them to ask for asylum.

He's disagreeing with Brennan that the people already here have been PROPERLY vetted.
He says:
"We cannot release thousands of unvetted people"
"I do not want my children to share a neighborhood with people who aren't properly vetted"
...implying that properly vetted people are okay.
After all, I'm pretty sure we are required by law to allow people seeking asylum into our country - the question is are they truly seeking asylum, or are they trying to enter for other, sometimes nefarious, reasons? Those must be vetted out.

AKA: Vetting.

While true, there are also many coming from Venezuela who qualify for asylum - for one example. Refugees from Bush's War on Terror are another example. They must all be PROPERLY vetted.

Yes, but that can all be sorted out only after they cross the border. That's the vetting process being discussed, I believe.
ETA: And that's my point, Vance should care deeply about the vetting process.

And why are Venezuelans coming here? Why not Brazil, Panama,. Mexico, etc.?

He's convinced himself that he's a star here. And I guess he is, in a Howdie Doodie kind of way. He's got the daddy issues of a hundred strippers. So, so needy.

In 2022. 492k applied for asylum with 25k being granted. This isn't the problem. The problem is them flooding the border away from ports of entry and mayorkis abusing the parole system to let them stay

Vance right now is the RNC candidate in 28.
Posted on 1/26/25 at 3:55 pm to shinerfan
I wonder how many downvoters he has accumulated for his 442K posts?
Of course, he embraces each and every one of them, like a decoration.

Apparently, it is. They were not all properly vetted - at least according to Vance.

That's another problem.
It's not like there's just ONE problem with our immigration system.

I like Desantis and think that he's done a good job as Governor of Florida; however, if we had the Republican primary tomorrow, I'd vote for Vance. Not that Ron is a bad choice. Vance is just a BETTER choice.
