All they are trying to do is convince the public Trump should be impeached. That’s their only goal.

Bottom line: the President has the authority to ask foreign governments to investigate potential corruption.

What I have read so far is a good dissertation of things but that's good only for those with ears to hear.
When dealing with low info folks(many many fall into this category, only going with Today Show headlines as they walk out for work)...all that matters is perception from what the media can assist the Dems in peddling as truth and reality no matter how far removed from both their sham impeachment is.
You have mental midgets who simply lap up what the networks say to them in passing and if the Dems can take advantage of this, that's all that really counts! So wrong but that's the way things are unfortunately.

If Trump doesn’t press forward to discover the origins of the Swamp Coup then he would be derelict in upholding his oath to the country. Trump’s request to Ukraine president Zelensky for any information related to 2016 election meddling is appropriate. The POTUS is operating well within his rights as Commander in Chief to ask for any world leader to provide any evidence they may have that could assist the DOJ in prosecuting Americans who were involved in election shenanigans.
