So you don't think people are worried about higher gas, grocery and rent prices? They don't want lower taxes and higher wages? Well frick it then, let's go completely socialist.

Can you name any person Trump could have picked that wouldn't be vilified in the media?

Yes, because nothing says conservative like a pro-choice anti-gun VP pick.

When you figure out it wouldn’t matter who the pick was and the media will tell whatever lies they think will work about any of them, let us know

No one taking that comment seriously was ever considering voting for Trump.

Hope you're right, just not sure how much the loudmouths influence the rest of the suburban women types that may have begrudgingly voted for Trump over Biden.

The IVF thing has created a lot of stir in recent months as it is (Alabama law, Butker speech), with a lot of suburban women loudly rallying around this topic. Now he is the villain over it, of course. Going to take some work to rehabilitate his image on this within that group, as annoying as it is.

I don’t care if we all agree 100% with Vance’s positions on everything. You cannot forget that a huge percentage of politics, right or wrong, is optics.

Ok, if it's not policy and optics that matters, it's an easy sell:
-Raised in poverty by a single mother with addiction and a strong grandmother (women shaped my life and I am not an elitist and can relate to poverty)
-Grew up in the rust belt (working class, blue collar)
-Former marine joined post 9-11 (patriot)
-Yale law grad (intelligent)
-Indian wife (hard to be called a racist even though the left will try)
-His story was made into a movie by liberal director Ron Howard (thanks Ron)

He needs to hit on 2 themes. Blue collar working class values and how he was influenced by being raised by two women and how he forgave and praised his mother for finally beating her addiction. Stick with those two and he will win support for the ticket.

I like Tulsi. But who cares? Women weren't voting for Trump b/c of Tulsi. Voters vote for the Presidency. Vice-President is along for the ride at the Polls.

Oh, ok.

So a Republican president should have selected someone who until very recently was an avowed liberal Socialist for 20 years? This place grows sillier by the day.

Current the two most politically polarizing figures in the USA are Donald J. Trump and Kamala Heels Harris. You can't ask for a bigger popularity contest than that. It doesn't matter if the veep candidates are "popular" or not, but for the record JD has a bestselling book that most Americans are familiar with.

Is he trying to lose the election? Couldn't he just say that he was taken out of context?

He's just doing the same as Trump.

Can't/won't shut his mouth.

There's a reason he was the poorest performing republican, by far, in the '22 Ohio elections.

Vance's stupid comments on cat ladies has come back to bite him and Trump on the arse.

Trump should have picked Nikki, Tulsi, or Stefanik as VP.

One if them could have destroyed Kamala and not looked misogynist.
