I hear you. I certainly am prone to question much of what is reported in the present media environment.

But a named source is bit different from….

Lobbing some missiles at Houthi rebels ain’t gonna do a damn thing to protect those sea lanes.

It’s amazing how ignorant some of you are. You make the MAGA movement look bad.

How does the editor of The Atlantic get added into a group chat of that level?

At any rate, it doesn’t sound like Vance is totally against the strikes. Rather, he thinks we need clear messaging on why the strikes are necessary. It doesn’t need to look like we’re just there to bail out Europe again. I think it’s fair for the VP to be able to share his views/concerns.

Dude, they are launching missiles at US, and other foreign shipping from Yemen. This absolutely is our business.

Unless you think we should just roll over and let them sink our ships and kill our people? Oh, even better, maybe we could pay them tribute to not attack our ships.

No. It has happened. I misspoke above and stand corrected.

They can CLAIM anything they want. But was there a credible threat to any of our Navy ships? Firing off rockets that don't come within 100 miles, is IMO, not a credible threat worthy of retaliation. It's sabre rattling and propaganda on the Houthis part.

They're attacking merchant vessels in a critical sea lane.

This is the exact mission our Navy was conceived for. Even the most stanch isolationist should understand why us showing up and shooting back at them is important.

More bombing tailgate tents in the desert and immediately replaced “infrastructure”. Woohoo!

This will definitely make the Houthis stop.

Where do you idiots come from?

Took me 2 seconds to google this

Since November 2023, the Houthis have targeted dozens of merchant vessels with missiles, drones and small boat attacks in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. They have sunk two vessels, seized a third, and killed four crew members.

The mistake he’s referencing appears to be the inability to make the public understand why it’s necessary to mist some rocket launching goat humpers. The media will make it an issue regardless if it is the right course or not.

He also says im good with the consensus and that waiting a month may be more advantageous.

So imo the mistake he is talking about is the timing. Others don’t agree.

You aren’t being totally honest

The blast areas have to be refilled and they don’t have bobcats so it takes a minute.

And I know deep down you don’t mind three or four rocket launching goat humpers getting pink misted.

If America paid as much attention and money(our tax dollars)to solving our own problems instead of trying to control what happens elsewhere, we would be in a position to help others. This administration has crippled and weakened our foreign standing.
