Really? The country that has made specific organized efforts to research and potentially build nuclear weapons dating back to the late 1980s in order to attack Isreal as well as the U.S.? That country?

I doubt many would agree on nuking the country. But if we weren't willing to finish the job (rid them of their nuclear capabilities) then we should have never entered in the first place. Now, we lose face, give them more power than they had before, and make them look like they have defeated us. That will only strengthen the IRGC's control over Iran and probably allow for the funding of many more terrorist groups like Hezbollah and the Houthis. Mission Accomplished.

I would say look at the upvotes.
The rest of your statement is absolutely correct. We should have never gotten involved for this very reason. Iran is too entrenched and capable (unfortunately). The regime is looking at one singular outcome... survival.

If we don't achieve a clear, unambiguous victory in this deal (some would say "unconditional surrender"), hasn't Iran just been emboldened completely and given the same geopolitical trump card (no pun intended) as a nuke?
