Anyone letting their children get it? I'm getting crap from people for not letting my 15 year old got it.

Does your 15 y/o WANT it?
I am not saying 15 gets what 15 wants. I am just curious.

Hell no. Tell them to mind their business.

But, what's your opinion. Should a 15 year old who wants it get it?

I don't think a healthy 50 year old should take the jab.

My opinion is that parents get to decide this. Would I "allow" my 15 to get it. YES
Would I put my (broad) nose into another parent's busy and criticize, or "give shite" to him / them? Of course not.

Extremely low risk age group so there is really no need unless they have asthma, diabetes or some serious complication that makes them a high risk with covid.

Tell them to kindly frick off and worry about their own children.
Also, you can ask them why they are so eager to enter their children as case studies for the largest human experiment in the history of mankind, with zero compensation or known long term effects.

The 15 year old says he wants it, but he has no medical reason to get it. I'm not letting him because he doesn't need it and I'm the parent. Plus, he's not capable of making these kind of decisions. His frontal cortex isn't finished developing yet.

True story.
Went with my 14 year old son to his annual well visit last week. We LOVE our pediatrician and have been going to him since our oldest was 2, which would be nearly 17 years now. He has caught things by simply being hands on and observant that many physicians would have missed, most notably he caught my oldest son's adrenal insufficiency super early and enabled us to find an endocrinologist and get him started on meds which prevented him from having his growth stunted.
Point is, we trust him.
So I asked him about the shot in regards to the 14 year old when it becomes available and for the 18 year old he no longer treats. His advice was to have them take it. We talked about not knowing whether or not schools would be mandating them next year, and I actually informed him that LSU seemed to be doing just that, but as of right now ULL had not made that call. He said that it was obviously up to us, but that if his kids were young enough to still be in that window (under 18) he'd have had them take it.
Take it for what it's worth. this was essentially what happened with my own doctor a couple of months ago. I was never AGAINST taking it myself, but was not going to hurry to take it either. She advised taking it, and since I like and trust her I took her advice. At the end of the day, if you like and respect your own doctor and they advise in taking it and you refuse to take their advice, why are you going there? I'd have said the same thing had they both said not to take it and I ran out and took it. After years of working with them and allowing them to treat my sons, I think it would be foolish of me to suddenly ignore his advice now.

No.
LSU is recommending it now. But they can't enforce it until the the legislature says they can. LSU can enforce many other vaccines because the legislature has passed laws saying they can on those specific vaccines.

I fully support your parental rights. No criticism from me.
