Not really. They’ve been breaking records with these carrier deployments

Oh no’s! They’re on a ship, away from combat? A ship that is basically a floating city? Anyone crying about that is soft as frick and shouldn’t be in the military.

More anti US propaganda.

Military life is rough. They know that when the join. Should not join if the can’t handle life on a boat at war.

Yup. There are and will always be weaklings in the services.

When I was deployed to Persian Gulf in 1994 we had jumpers. They always did it in daylight while we had helo’s up to recover them. And they had their float coats on.

They put other lives in jeopardy because they can’t handle military.

Most are never announced but you have anti-American press now who try and sensationalize it for clicks. Its overdramatized because TDS is real and the press is our enemy

Yep. Imagine conducting ops all day trying to subdue a freshly invaded opposition country and at night you have to dig slit trenches, set ops and security in a hasty AA to pack it all up and do it again 10 klicks up the road the next day or two. Im sorry to the sailors and their mothers but suck it the frick up.

Sounds like college dorms.

Annabelle Loma, the wife of a sailor serving on the Abraham Lincoln, told the publication her husband is now on medical hold after trying to jump from the carrier.

So where was he going to go? Swim to Iran? Seems like they saved his life. She should be on her knees thanking them.

Lmfao they signed their life to the military. Soft. Do your damn job.

Things are crazy now across the board on all services.

Pushing these kids through a soft basic training courses with a waiver for every excuse to not do a task or complete a job at a specified level

We are not building a strong base bottom line. The best are imo better than ever before, but the base and bottom layer military has dropped drastically and just like every job in the world the bottom 1% will drag you down. I believe the standard for the bottom 20-30% is a complete shite show and it shows.

Who would have thought. Maybe we should not put a TV personality in charge of the military.

Oh, come on now. He had an illustrious military career guarding detainees at Guantanamo, being a civil affairs officer, and teaching in a classroom.

There's absolutely nothing in that chucklehead's experience that qualifies him to manage the biggest department in the federal government, with the biggest budget, much less prosecuting a fricking war.

You got a lot of downvotes, but no one can dispute the facts. The only qualifications Trump cared about was being on Fox and kissing his arse. He will be the first Cabinet member let go by President JD Vance...if he lasts that long.

Well at least they will all be able to get “disability” when their hitch is up.

I dont know what it like to be cooped in for a 6months, but conditions are way better on this ship in 2026 then any naval vessel in 1944.
We have grown soft as a country.

This.

I'll say it again. Show me one thing in Hegseth's experience beyond wearing a uniform that qualifies him to run the War Department.

There isn't anything.

You guys now readily admit that Trump hired a couple of bimbos to run DHS and DOJ. But it's like you can't wait to get Trump's cock out of your mouth quickly enough so you can start blowing Hegseth. It's fricking retarded.

I’m kind of curious! How long were sailors deployed during WW2? Especially in the Pacific Theater?Curious about this as well! How many “kamikazes” has the current navy personnel had to deal with on a daily basis? I call BS on the story!

Come on.

Just say you hate him. No need to be disingenuous about him.

He served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was infantry, then airborne. He was awarded a Bronze Star. He was promoted to major.

He’s a Princeton and Harvard graduate. He’s worked on Wall Street. He’s worked in news and media.

The USS Abraham Lincoln crushed their deployment and will return home soon as part of a planned rotation. Details will come but let me be clear: the safety and security of our Sailors and Marines always comes first.

Mission accomplishment. Troop Welfare. This is how we lead.

The Lincoln was extended because the mission demanded it. Deployments are hard. Combat operations make them harder. War is hell and normal routines are disrupted. One of the hardest aspects about warfighting beyond knowingly placing our service members in harm’s way is that even with the best planning and communication, change and uncertainty will always be in play. Our success depends on how we adapt.

Sailors and Marines are expected to dig deep—and they always do. A leader’s responsibility is to take care of their people the best they can while balancing mission requirements. During this deployment we have seen both: the job is getting done and our leaders are taking care of their people.

Unfortunately, the media are trying to paint our warriors as victims. Not only is that dishonest but it takes away the focus on the enemy and the threat it poses against our nation, people, and way of life.

Here is the truth—
266 days deployed.
200 days in a combat zone.
10,000+ sorties.
1.5M lbs. of ordnance dropped.

And retention rates on the ABE are amongst the highest of all carriers.
It is also true—
A small number of mental health cases were treated with no loss of life.
Meal plans were adjusted when fresh resupply was unavailable, without a single meal being missed.

Calls home were limited when the operational threat was too high.
There is no question our young men and women have been pushed to their limits—but they have never broken. They are rightly tired—but have never been out of the fight. However, it is clear, knowing the whole story, our force and their families are not victims. They are the epitome of American strength and resilience.

So, when the USS Abraham Lincoln pulls into the pier, join me and stand proudly with a grateful heart and give our Sailors and Marines the Hero’s Welcome they deserve.

Semper Fi and Hooyah.
