Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice is "Failure to Obey an Order or Regulation" (Written or stated). It is considered a dereliction of duty when unable or unwilling to perform the job assigned to military personnel.

Your Google skills suck.

I don't believe he went public. Leaked memo's that were from CMC to the Pentagon. Well within his duties and responsibilities IMO.

If they were leaked I agree completely.

Very deep bro. I hope you didn't think too hard about that response.

Much more appropriate being in a foreign shithole dying for “allies” than actually protecting one’s own country, right?

You really are an idiot....probably born that way. The Marines are a forward amphibious deployment force.....shock troops, if you will,. The Army/National Guard is much better suited to playing cop and round up down on the border.

So border agents who work there daily for years and want a wall have “shite ideas”?

Neller did not say he would not follow orders , he was being asked about it and he gave his assessment of the situation . That's his job as well as Commandant.

I didnt say he did say he wouldnt. Just said he cant be trusted to do so. Seems clear to me he the semantics indicates disagreement with a very large part of his Commander in Chief's policy. Dont tell us why it cant and doesnt need to be done...tell us how it's going to be accomplished. Doesnt instill much faith in that regard.

The private base housing issues DoD wide is a disaster

Wasn't there a massive audit of on-post housing 2-3 weeks ago mandating command inspection of on-post residencies? I know there was one here at JBLM.

Gen. Neller is on his way out anyway. Lt. General Berger has been nominated as his replacement.

The issue is, and will never change, is former active duty will never agree with you.
That is funny because you are wrong.

You can jump up and down about your " rights" all you care to and the majority of former military is still going to tell you to stfu.
and any non military person can tell you to frick off. you ave mo more rights than any citizen. In fact as active you have less rights.
quote:

f you have never sacrificed and been part of the military then you have never earned the " right" to talk shite about it.

again there is where you are wrong. And the Constitution proves you wrong.

Former military can converse with each other and you non military would have no clue what we are talking about.
come in my field of expertise and see if you have a clue what im talking about.

Former military is a family that you will never understand nor be part of.
im actually glad.

Yea our house was inspected

Issue here is base housing is 98% full with a waiting list bc our BAH is to low to afford any where off base.

I’m not going to go that far.

The Commandant is like all the other members of the JCS. He’s fighting for funding for his branch which is, historically, the red-headed stepchild of the armed forces when it comes to that.

I do believe, however, that if these comments were leaked, he should issue a statement clarifying them.

But have you ever deployed?

No

Bc this would totally burn out the force that already goes on regular ship rotations and Middle East deployments. Not to mention they still need to be in garrison to train.

I don’t agree. There’s not a whole lot of people deployed right now in comparison to the rest of the USMC. Most of the USMC units that are deployed right now are support elements anyway, not direct combat personnel. Furthermore, units are gone regularly all over the country and the globe to train for weeks are months at a time. I have not heard but I don’t believe Trump has called for year long deployments on the border.
