100% effectiveness is hardly a reasonable expectation. If someone is an active duty LE officer I do make an assumption that he has no convictions or pending charges for violent felonies. I recognize there is a tiny chance that assumption could be wrong in a specific case and I'll reconsider if conflicting information comes to light. But it's an assumption that any honest/decent person will make. We understand how you must struggle with it
