INFLATION is upon us.....

These idiots keep pumping out cash, making it weaker and weaker. The dollar bill used to represent something that was earned by working, NOT ANY MORE!

The economic engine is a very fragile piece of equipment. It can and will fail with unusual forces exerted upon it.....and unusual forces are the norm now.

GOD help us.

There aren’t many other currencies that are not in some way pegged to the USD. The ones that aren’t either don’t allow foreign investment or are run by shaky governments that have regime changes every decade or so.

I am at the end of a total rehab and flip that I bought on the cheap. I really don't want to be a landlord but I need to hide some money. My concern is the eviction moratorium extension. Why the hell would anyone pay rent if they can't be evicted?

Did you not see the professed ignorance in my post? FFS, you have 'financial' in your handle, wutangfinancial, I expect that you have command over this subject matter.

They tried to explain Bitcoin mining to me and I was like:

Would there be any warning signs that it has started in earnest before things are too far out of reach?
How fast do these things typically accelerate?

The housing and equity markets are a good indication.

You have to follow what the money chases to see the inflation. The CPI is BS.

If you're looking for what to put your money into in order to survive, look for utility. Things you can actually use. You can't eat gold.

Don't hold cash. Hold assets that appreciate in value. Bitcoin is my choice, followed by stocks, then property.

This isn't necessarily political it's just something that keeps me up at nights and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice.

Everything is "political", t8; especially the economy. The Founders who sought to muzzle Government and establish God-given rights - Economic and Religious - feared a Central Bank moreso than a "standing army". Control the money...control the populous.

The Dems want to control it, because they don't believe that Capitalism is fair; they view it from a "Life's Lottery" pov. I.e., that your innate ability derives from the random luck of Nature's draw. And the seek to address such natural injustice, via the SJW/Marxist Ideology.

Advice, get very simple and relatively as independent as you are able. Find a like minded community far away from the explosive Urban populations, and move in and begin learning basic food production/storage skills.

My Grandma told me about "The Great Depression"; no money, no jobs...no food on the table. She spoke of many people walking the roads and asking to work for food. (Many of today's folk, won't ask for your food...they'll take it if able...any way they can. By vote or gun.) Of course, her family being a simple farm, were not without the basics. Luxuries did not exist, but for the Elites...as always.

$10 for a 2x4 stud. The Transnational Progressives ARE going to crash the Dollar...but more so, the Freedom kind of Government which based the Dollar's success and power.

"Lest ye take the number of the beast, neither will ye be able to buy or sell". LIMIT your buying and selling to the degree that you desire to be free. Might want to consider limiting you free speech too...like on this Board.

We either live forever...or cease to be forever. We're covered either way.

Good luck, Brother.

I'm not an economist by any stretch but it just seems to me that there are several things pointing to the crash of the USD and/or devastating inflation.

Neither are 99.9% of the posters here but that doesn’t stop them from wanting to stop increasing inflation and a reduction of the trade balance.

The Modern Survival Manual: Surviving the Economic Collapse LINK to Amazon First-person advise from someone that lived through the Argentine currency collapse. Excellent book. Practical advice. From food, to driving, to firearms, to family. What I like about the book is it's not the hysterical "Have 100,000 rounds of ammo, 5 AR-15s per person, and 12 years of food stored in a nuke proof bunker." His advice is actually useful, practical, and non-hype.

I don't. But serious question, does the world need the internet to reach the blockchain and/or to trade/buy/sell crypto?
