What is the purpose of 60% enriched uranium?

Do you have a clue?

Exactly, Iran admits they have enriched past 20%.

There is no civilian purpose to do that.

The posters here I guess suggest we are supposed to take Iran's word for it that they are enriching to weapons grade but will never put that on a missile?

No one believed they were actively building a nuke. That's not the standard.

They can't be working on anything that could even lead them to nuclear weapons capability.

Typical liberal projection. What is the purpose of 60% enrichment?

And that set them back very, very seriously. If we didn't hit within two weeks, they would have had a nuclear weapon. If we didn't do the B-2 attack a number of months ago, they would have a nuclear weapon. And when crazy people have nuclear weapons, bad things happen. So we're in very good shape. Now I want to let you know that and we will continue forward.

There's something incredible about Iran admitting to every claim made about them and yet, we're over here making excuses for them

Kudos. Thanks for that. Shows it wasn’t a 30 year mantra. It’s a very new one.

It’s still about China. Even though Iran has uranium enrichment at 60%.

Well Bozo, here's a little education.

Going from natural uranium i.e., >1% to 20% requires roughly 90% of the total separative work.

Let's repeat that for the slow folks:

Going from natural uranium i.e., ~0.7% to 20% requires roughly 90% of the total separative work.

Going from 20% to 90% requires only about 10% of remaining effort.

Let's repeat that for the slow folks:

Going from 20% to 90% requires only about 10% of remaining effort.

Got it?

Going from 60% to 90% requires even less — a relatively small additional enrichment step.

Nah they just had a bunch of 60% enriched uranium sitting around in tunnels in the mountains for fun.

And are willing to go to extreme lengths to keep it and their nuclear facilities, to the point that their country is starving and economy is collapsing, just for funsies.

The "Iran didn't want a nuke and wasn't planning one" talking point has taken a huge hit the last few weeks, when that's pretty much the MAIN thing they refuse to negotiate on. Why would they be willing to risk death and destruction for something that doesn't even really matter to them and they didn't want? Why would they refuse inspections or free nuclear fuel for energy purposes, which we have offered?

Critical thinking is hard for some, though

two weeks is new, but they've been a couple years away for about 30 years

grok:
quote:

Iran Nuclear Timeline Claims – 1990s & 2000s1990s:1992: Netanyahu (as Israeli MP) warned Iran was 3–5 years away from developing a nuclear bomb.
1995: Netanyahu repeated in his book Fighting Terrorism that Iran was 3–5 years away from nuclear capability.
1995: U.S. and Israeli officials (via NYT) warned Iran was about 5 years away.
1996–1997: Netanyahu and Israeli officials continued warnings of Iran being a few years from a nuclear weapon.

2000s:2002: Netanyahu testified to U.S. Congress warning that Iran was racing toward nuclear weapons.
2003: Israeli officials stated Iran could have a nuclear bomb by 2005 (1–2 years away).
2009: Netanyahu told U.S. officials Iran was 1–2 years away from nuclear capability.

Note: Most claims in this era used “3–5 years” or “a few years,” not “weeks away.”

Can you imagine why some folks amongst us are arguing so utterly strongly in Iran’s favor that they were and are completely innocent of seeking an advanced nuclear program and uranium enrichment program for nefarious purposes? What could possibly get into a person to make them knight for Iran, of all countries, as they’re doing??

Just one example.

How bad do you think Stuxnet delayed them? It wasn't like we were all just idly standing by for 30 years.

I'll give more.

Are you aware of scientist assassinations in Tehran 10 years ago?

Cyber warfare?

Removal from SWIFT.

Etc etc?

Do you think any of that would possibly cause a 30 year delay? Or no effect?

The same spy agencies that swore the Russian dossier was real, and that Hunter's laptop wasn't?

I see we're still not addressing that Iran has admitted to enriching uranium past 20% which has no civilian purpose.

I'm legitimately curious what do you think they were going to do with that?

Are you saying you don’t care what Joe Kent has to say or,….

…you don’t care that Israel drug us into another conflict in the Middle East?

I'm saying I don't care what Joe Kent has to say.

I'm saying I don't care what the reasons were/are for us finally kicking Iran's arse ... it is 47 years past due.

I'm saying I don't give a fat baby's arse about what Israel did or didn't do ... couldn't care less.

I'm saying I don't care what Tucker, Megyn, Candance O or any so-called influencers have to say about anything. I just like exposing them all for the grifting narcissists that they are.

I'm saying I wouldn't care if we invaded Kharg Island ... my boys up at Bragg are ready to go. They're literally itchin' for a fight.

I'm saying I want Iran's radical Shia leadership eradicated ... wiped from the face of the earth. I do not are why ... it's not important anymore. The end game is to force them into total capitulation or face annihilation. This bullshite of theirs has been going on since I was at Bragg 47 years ago ... and beyond.

I'm saying they need to pay. I don't care about what nuclear material they may, or may not, have ... it doesn't matter, I don't care.
