Oh FFS. How long does it take a hen to start laying eggs? Fine, I won’t eat any eggs for that long. No big deal. Can’t we all do that?
It’s a political issue now because high egg prices can be blamed on Orange Hitler.
BTW every new hen that hatches is one less egg to eat. So building back up the 150 million chickens will take 150 million eggs out of stores.

Eggs are still a relatively cheap source of protein. My family uses about a dozen every 2 or 3 weeks. I absolutely deaf if they're 10 bux

Every week and old auctioneer i know has a chicken auction. I can't remember if it's Tuesday or Thursday.
Anyway, they sell the normal auction type stuff but also auction off chickens, goats, guineas, you name it. They don't stop until it's all sold. Sometimes like 2 am.
You baws need to find you a good chicken auction like we have here.
I just looked his chicken auction schedule up. First and third Tuesdays of the month. The old man must be slowing down. Hell, I think he has 5 teeth in his whole mouth.

Where is Roger the Shrub and Tex Aggie telling us Biden and Harris did nothing wrong and that Trump is to blame?

No but plenty of flasks and coolers. John Teel chicken auction. He's a great old man and has plenty of chickens to sell.
Come on up and get you some egg layers.

In 2023 the USA produced 94.2 Billion table eggs. 150 million less is about 1.6% of the supply.
The Horror!! It’s Eggmargedon!

Sounds like a cool place to hang out and shoot the shite. Sorry, Missouri is a little too far for a chicken auction.

I normally eat 3-4 XL eggs daily. The Harris Teeter a couple of miles from my house has been out of XL’s.
Instead, I get Jumbo eggs, eat 2-3 of those daily. Just got 2 dozen last night. 1 dozen Jumbo eggs set me back $4.99.
That makes my 3 egg breakfast $1.26, not counting a pinch of shredded cheese that might cost .20 cents.
Would it be nice if they were cheaper? Sure. The price will drop as soon as more egg laying chickens are raised and ready.
People are outraged that eggs cost .42 cents each, yet they’re silent over our taxpayers giving $6 million to boost tourism in Egypt, $29 million to strengthen the political landscape in Bangladesh, or $47 million for improving learning outcomes in Asia.
It’s truly bizarre.

Okay, so we're going to act like a longstanding practice for livestock outbreak prevention is something Biden schemed up so Trump could look bad in 2025?
Got it.

It’s just a thing for the libs to accuse trump about

That’s why he likes eggs. Easier to eat with just 5 teeth.

150 million chickens lost is not the same as 150 million eggs lost in a year. Chickens lay considerably more than one egg per year

Right. Takes 18-22 weeks. We already covered this.
