I was vocally against the strikes on Iran on this board. I fully support waging a violent war on drug cartels.

Is anyone wondering why the focus seems to be on Venezuela? What about Mexico, Colombia, Brazil. Everyone knows most of the drugs come from Mexico. Venezuela has more oil reserves than Saudi Arabia, and China is there right now, building platforms and extracting their oil. Are we after their oil?

The simpler answer is that Venezuela is already a declared enemy basically. Legally and politically it’s easier to target them with our military forces.
