Because all the tariffs have done so far is harm US manufacturers.

Couch dwellers wouldn’t understand.

Is there something missing in your analysis? Maybe governments one job, to protect Americans from a foreign enemy? In this situation of China pushing & supported theft of intellectual property, aggressive illegal trade practices and the knowledge of say fentanyl production & shipping out of Chinese ports. They had closed foreign full ownerships while allowing them access in America with the import tariffs of American goods if I believe 24 percent.

I'd like some more detail on what law they propose that Trump is breaking here.

Google "International Emergency Economic Powers Act"

From the lawsuit:

"This Court should declare the President's unprecedented power grab illegal, enjoin the operation of the executive actions that purport to impose these tariffs under the IEEPA [International Emergency Economic Powers Act] and reaffirm this country's core founding principle: there shall be no taxation without representation," the suit says.

If it weren't fentanyl, it'd be something else. The problem isn't the drug, it is why the people fall into drug use. That is probably a harder problem to fix than keeping the drugs off the street because it is all between the ears.

Taxes on your own consumers.

Less choice for your consumers.

More revenue for govt.

You're supporting central planning and calling others "leftist,"

Govt has no business in interfering with two businesses completing a transaction. Unless you're a socialist

I only come here from time to time and sometimes I read your posts. I have managed not to respond to anything you have posted recently because there was a time when you were one of the better posters on this site.

But surely you cannot be this obtuse. The government protecting American workers and American businesses is not mentioned anywhere in the opening paragraph of the Socialist Handbook.

At least you have the talking points memorized.

This will not play out the way you think it will. But in the meanwhile, carry on with your TDS.

I wasn't aware that the president had to formally declare an emergency before enacting tariffs. I always thought that it was part of the executive branches constitutional powers.

Lmao!!! What a fricking joke!! Tell those businesses to save their money on this ridiculousness and instead, fund the effort to make a constitutional amendment.

The lines that divide us are not melting, only being made clearer.
If we the people don't vote for better Representatives and Senators, this nation is doomed to split.

I dont listen to influencers like yourself.

But he's not smart enough to understand that

You have become every bit as delusional as the folks telling us women can be men. Any amount of time or mental energy spent on discourse with you is wasted.

If you view them as taxes, then you should view them exactly like you view any other federal taxes. Unless you are advocating for the elimination of all federal taxes, which I fully support, you are contradicting yourself.

And youve proven youre incapable of discussing issues and ideas.

Repeatedly.

All I am doing is reciting the same exact economics you use to hate when Obama and Biden was in office.

But because its Trump, you now totally forgot all your economic knowledge.
