We do nothing serious towards them. The "war on drugs" us nothing but lip service...tongue in cheek.
Tell Mexico we are declaring war on the cartels... either work with us and we can be friends or move out of the way.

Agree, need an all out assault, no more opioids killing our people and using illegals for their own profit at our burden....

No it wont.
That's like saying... legalize murder and people will stop killing.

Legalizing murder doesn’t financially disincentivize murderers

As kind as there is demand for drugs in the States, you’ll have cartels.

All drugs?
Legalizing doesn't end the demand by the way, cartels would be happy to "legitimize" it won't end them...

Um, no. You’re denying economic realities. There is a demand for drugs. Wherever there is a demand, a supply will be created. The only way to defeat a black market is to either end the demand (not going to happen) or legitimize the supply.

You don’t consider the current situation a boondoggle?

Reminder:
Cartel related fentanyl caused THIRTY THOUSAND deaths in the US last year.
The entirety of the Vietnam conflict caused just 60K.

You bring drugs into this country you are shot in the forehead as soon as you’re caught.

Some drugs need to be reclassified.
drug classification list
Most of them just need to decriminalized.

Because that doesn't solve anything.
-drug addiction... I will end up paying for it.
- cartels still in business. They will under cut and move to other vices.
- are we going to legalize child trafficking?

If the cartels can cross our border with impunity we should encourage the militia/vigilante/internet tough guy types to cross into their territories and engage them in a winner take all battle royale.
The Mexican government is lawless, let’s match them with our own lawlessness.
Perhaps the Mexicans would finally get serious about enforcing the border, since nether them or us are doing anything meaningful about the problem.
