The United Steelworkers union has been funding LGBTQ+ and racial equality groups, criticizing law enforcement, and heavily backing Democrat candidates according to a new report from the American Accountability Foundation, with its PAC contributing $590,622 to Democrats and just $5,000 to Republicans in 2024 — even as 43% of union household voters supported President Trump.

This is what unions do. They are communists.
Im surprised that you are surprised. I suppose it is because steelworkers seem like baws? That isn't how unions work. All of them are commies and prog infested.

Like our Federal Government, I think there is a Yuge disconnect from leadership and the members.
Leadership of government and unions live a life of luxury and are out of touch with the common folk.

Certainly. The individual members of any union can have all kinds of beliefs, including some that side with us.
But the very nature of the union itself will cause it to always ally with the progressive mindset.

The members must be ok with it or else they would elect to withhold the portion of the dues they pay that goes to political activity.

Talked to a USW member today. He said he was probably quitting the Union over this.
