Off topic, there was a druggie dude at the gym a couple weeks ago. I walked into the steam room, and he was trying to talk two young guys into doing shrooms. He said, ‘you mix mushrooms with vitamin B and niacin….’. So I turned up my ear buds.
Then later as I’m getting dressed, I hear him a few isles over still going at it with the sells job to the young dudes. He says ‘we split from the monkeys 100 million years ago’ and we split from mushrooms 200 million years ago’
I think his argument was since we evolved out of the mushroom fungus, that doing shrooms was a natural step.

I started to think of my own life:
I have a government issued drivers license
I have a social security number
I have a passport
I have a TSA precheck
I have Clear
How much more frickin ID do I need? And it all pretty much is digital now.
I would agree to it if the government would pay $300,000 to every person whose ID is hacked and stolen.

Only for it to fail, and when it does, the believer simply points to whatever religious scripture he's reading and rationalizes it away. This has been going on all over the world for countless generations.
The belief in prophetic religion is primitive and evil. It diminishes the extraordinary good religion can and does bring to society. Whether Fundamentalist Christians want to believe it or not, they're members of a dark and sinister triad with Judaism and Islam.
This evil triad has created ongoing centuries long violence, and the prophetic payoff you people so desperately desire never comes to pass. But this time it will, right? It's digital ID that triggers the second coming.
