re: Ukrainian Drone Strikes Cooling Tower at Russia's Novovoronezh Nuclear Plant

Zelensky should not have bombed a cooling tower to a nuclear plant. Obviously, the little man was trying to create an issue with the nuclear facility.
Yet the winds were blowing hard out of the east. Go figger. Putin should respond with his very own nuclear component now that Zelensky has stupidly and ignorantly upped the ante'.

Russian attacked Ukraine's largest nuclear power plant in 2022.
Get outta here with your faux righteous indignation...
You beat me to it on both points.
Notice how the downvoters haven't actually tried rebutting your point?

That seems like a really, really bad idea. Especially in the country that bought us Chernobyl.

The Russians have been bombing the electrical service to the Ukrainian nuclear generator for more than a year. The thing is on diesel generator power to keep from melting down. Don't recall the Russia lovers speaking out
against that.
If that's how Russia wants to fight, then that is what comes around.

My dad's a TV repair man, he has an ultimate set of tools.
I can fix it.

Why is this a thread?
This is as much news as them flying a drone into a pond.
Cooling towers do not cool the reactor itself. They are part of a separate, non-radioactive system that cools and recycles steam from the plant's turbine generators.
If the towers were to become disabled, the plant's reactor automatically undergoes an emergency shutdown to prevent overheating.
WTF are we doing here fellas?

Incorrect. Russia controls that Power Plant and is now on Russia territory. They are not shelling themselves. Ukraine is attacking the Zaporozhye Nuclear Plant

What do you mean when? Didn't the war start with Putin hitting nuclear energy sites?

No Russia never shelled Nuclear energy sites. They took them over when they invaded and controlled them with manpower. They didn't try and blow up sites/reactors

Imagine being such a retard you believe we would or should get into a Nuclear Exchange over Ukraine. That would never happen. Russia could nuke Ukraine tomorrow and the only thing you would see is outrage and threats. We would never go to Nuclear War over Ukraine, even Obama admitted that. I will admit, Lindsey Graham might have an ischemic stroke

I am shocked that almost all of your linked sources are known Russian government propaganda websites or X accounts like RT &
@RT_com and that you believe their garbage is the truth, Ivan.
The RT stands for Russian Times.

Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant
Shelling Incidents: The plant has been shelled multiple times, with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reporting that shelling occurred in 2022 and 2025, damaging infrastructure and triggering emergency systems.
Attribution: Ukraine and Russia have each blamed the other for these attacks, creating a confusing and dangerous situation around the facility.
International Response: The IAEA has called for expert missions to inspect the site, and the G7 has demanded Russia withdraw its forces and return control of the plant to Ukraine.
Chornobyl Nuclear Site
February 2025 Drone Strike: In February 2025, a Russian drone with a high-explosive warhead hit the protective containment shelter of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant.
Damage and Fire: This strike damaged the shelter, and a fire that resulted was quickly extinguished.
With Putin's dick constantly choking the air supply to your brain, you think the Ukraine bombed their own nuclear facilities. Oh, I also don't support the Ukraine. It isn't binary.

At the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, during the Battle of Enerhodar on 4 March 2022, Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) , the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, was attacked and occupied by Russian forces.
It was the first full-scale military attack and occupation of an operational nuclear power plant in history.[1] It has become the center of an ongoing nuclear safety crisis, described by Ukraine as an act of nuclear terrorism by Russia.[2]
It is the first time a military conflict has occurred amid the facilities of a large, established nuclear power program.

Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened strikes on Ukrainian nuclear power plants at the Valdai International Discussion Club in the city of Sochi on Oct. 2.
Putin framed this potential move as a "mirror response," claiming that Ukraine has been carrying out attacks near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which has been under Russian occupation since March 2022. He didn't provide any evidence to support his claims.

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) staff at Ukraine's Khmelnytskyi and Rivne nuclear power plants (NPPs) reported hearing drones and gunfire during Russia's mass strike on Ukraine's west, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said on Sept. 10.

Why not go into the tower and do damage?
