A diplomatic solution with Russia might have involved something as simple as demilitarization of Ukraine and a signed treaty promising Ukraine would never join NATO, but the U.S. political establishment wanted this hot proxy war with nuclear-armed Russia so they created it.

Ukraine started shelling the Russian-speaking people of the Donbas on February 16th, 2022, while Joe Biden went on television and told the American people that Russia was about to invade Ukraine.
