I'm cool with all the scrutiny in the world on anyone who thinks it's okay to senselessly batter fellow citizens. To me, the much more "dangerous road" is one where such acts have no repercussions.

Go pull up that account and the screen name on Twitter. There is some definite frickery going on in an attempt to hide his account. There are now multiple Eugene V. Dabs and @teen_archer has a new account too. It has 4 followers and it's protected. Looks like he might have made several dummy accounts and switched his @twitter name too. Looks like he is using @TheSillyMan now.

An assault is illegal whether it is done during a protest or outside of one. And it's illegal for both conservative and liberal. What's hard to understand about this?
What will happen when a conservative trained in martial arts shows up at one of these protests and starts beating heads of those who try to punch him?

These aren't protests. You really need to separate the idealistic 20 something kid who is protesting someone they don't agree with from the violent coordinated actions of ANTIFA. These are the black clad anarchy groups that keep popping up at every protest. They are there to create chaos and escalate protests into physical violence. They are all over Twitter, and if you look hard enough you can find splinter groups in major cities all over the country. They are using social media to coordinate their activities. Its nothing but a domestic terror group right here in the USA and I have yet to hear 1 public official or member of law enforcement mention them.

Until Trump supporters toughen up a bit they may want to stay off the streets, if you are getting your arse whipped at a California university then direct counter rioter activity may not be best.
