Good lord. Berkeley is a fine school, but it's not like there aren't others out there. I'd have my kid transfer if I were a parent.

It's more about control. They are actually encouraging people not to go home because they might be "incubators" and bring it home. Or they might live with an "incubator" and bring it back to campus. Whatever it is, they want students to be scared shitless and held under their thumb.

The whole of point of university is for kids to open their minds and learn about others. What they are driving for is the OPPOSITE of what higher education is supposed to be.
