I'm reading the complaint and I'm thinking the SDNY is reaching on this complaint especially as it applies to PAC's and election law. These guys are American citizens and they happen to do business in Ukraine. They make money there and then they repatriate it and want to spend it on political activities as is their right and in large amounts.
Surprised they would arrest people for this, unless they did it to prevent potential flight.

Just saying they were taking an international flight isn't evidence that they were trying to evade capture.

The campaign issues may be bipartisan, but if these guys really are helping connect Rudy with the right folks in Ukraine that would be the reason for the arrests and make the Dem collateral damage.

Maybe I am missing this in the indictment, but I see nowhere where this has to do with Giuliani’s activity in the Ukraine
It looks like it involves straw campaign donations for the midterms last year.
Which means the timing absolutely stinks

first they had their door kicked in, then they weren't a flight risk, then it's not illegal to be at the airport, then there was no proof they were taking an international flight, and now it's not illegal to take an international flight
