Hope the SDF gives them hell, but the terrain in NE Syria just isn't very conducive to guerrilla fighting.

We need to remove our nukes from Turkey. They are not our allies. They are extremists

Let's pray for a long drawn out conflict with lots of dead bodies.

Let's also sit on the sidelines and ignore it because it is not our problem.

The Kurds announced they were willing to talk to Damascus buts its probably too late for that. The Turks will roll through before they can come to agreement and Damascus can deploy their forces.

The Syrians needed to sprint north Sunday night.

Hopefully all Turkish. Hope the SDF had time to get lots of Javelin anti tank missiles in place.

Man you are a long ways from running to the oil fields you were babbling about recently.

All the same to me.

Let's take care of ours. Plenty of vets and homeless and poor and sick folks here.

Am I to understand that the only keeping Turkey out was 50 of our soldiers? Damn, we are better than I thought.

I agree, but the problem is that we can't ignore it because we have already said we would obliterate their economy if they do this

So...win win?

I'm all for not being involved but the Kurds are about the only decent group in that part of the world and we continually screw them over by getting involved then backing out and leaving them high and dry.

I did three tours for a total of 35 months in Iraq and IMO the Kurds were the only ones who could run a functioning society with us gone.

At what point do we get out then? There has to be an end to it somewhere
