That is somewhat Gibbon's contention in Decline and Fall. His argument was more that Christianity weakened Roman civic virtue and martial character by putting emphasis on the afterlife rather than the here and now.
I could go both ways on this. Many societies became a good bit tamer once they got a taste of Christianity (Romans, Anglo-Saxons, Vikings, etc.), but on the other hand, some of the most brutal and most martial nations and peoples in all of world history were thoroughly Christian. The Byzantines under Justinian, the Spanish in the 15th and 16th centuries, the Franks under Charlemagne, English under Cromwell, etc.

“The Church” doesn’t always mean “Jesus“, in the same way that I don’t blame Jesus for the sins of the Catholic Church.

Also there's endochrine disruptors like BPA and other plasticizers. I am convinced these have had a deleterious hormonal effect on the population at large (both men and women). There's a lot of debate about this in the literature (how much is too much, etc.) but I would be willing to bet it has had an effect.
However, the researchers who wrote the paper Tucker was quoting said they adjusted for all these lifestyle factors and still could not explain the drop. Thus, there must be something else going on (environmental I would bet).

One of the major problems is that most women are on birth control and our sewer systems aren't capable of filtering all the estrogen and progesterone these women pee into the water supply. It's time to bring back outhouses for those that choose to be on birth control
