It takes an incredible man to suffer through such a grueling event for that long.

You know nothing about masculinity or the church. Refraining from beating the soul out of someone takes an incredible amount of masculinity. Restraining oneself requires a supernatural level of masculinity. Our animal nature would rip heads off of these people.

I'm reminded of Shapiro's bit the other day about this: "When you have a civilization of men who have had their value scooped out, who have nothing to live for, they become a problem....When you remove masculinity of men, you are doing them damage, turning them into husks of themselves."
