Tucker is desperately trying to remain relevant, even if it’s as a Russian stooge. And Putin has ridiculed him
after the interview. Oddly pathetic.

Someone should do a Putinbot check in thread so we can see who all these commies are.

I used to love Tucker. Watched him every single night and dvr'd it if I missed it.

I really don't get his deal now. His positions are completely inconsistent now.

And then stuff like this is just beyond stupid, and he's getting dunked on by both the left and right for it.

There are 2 Tuckers.

There is the avatar of the MAGA-Patriot content creating Tucker, which was created a few years ago (to great financial success).

There is also Tucker Carlson, the person, who is basically who he's always been. You only see this in more off the cuff arenas, especially ones where the echo chamber isn't targeted.

This story is not about Russia. No one wants to move to Russia or live under a Russian type government

Does anyone still wanna live under a Washington type government ?

This is my position too.

I think some of Tucker's points on Russia, including ones he's catching heat from both right and left on, are fine. He's a contrarian and we need people calling it straight when the straight truth is pretty unpopular.

But I just don't get what ideological basis is leading him to do some of this stuff, as it progressed from "here's a real take on Putin and Russia, you decide what's real and what's not" to some Russian informercial without any context/nuance.

So go roughly 30 miles outside Moscow in any direction and you’re in a poor country with no infrastructure and services.

This kind of stuff is easily disprovable. Go to google maps and look at some street views of towns 30 and more miles away from Moscow. Go look for yourself and decide for yourself if that looks like a place with no infrastructure and services.

So they are a poor country, yet the poors can afford to eat, cuz groceries are 1/4 the cost there as here. Maybe because they don’t give away all of their money to other countries all over the world thus inflation not as much of a problem.

It's more likely that with an average yearly income <$15,000 that the cost of labor brings the price of food down along with other underlying factors like real estate, taxes, shipping and regulation.

Those lovely subway stations were built with Stalin's slave labor from his gulags. They do keep them clean though.

I think the streets and subways were what blew Tucker's mind the most, considering that Moscow is such a large city. I have to admit, it's impressive how Moscow and many large cities in Europe (certainly not Paris and similar) are seemingly very clean. I'm sure they have their share of ugly districts, though. I always wonder what the government / tax burdens are, in order to have that.

Having a filthy city is completely under the control of the residents. You don’t have to have filth, that’s a choice made by people who simply don’t give a shite and have no sense of pride. They don’t care about you, themselves or their future living conditions. Taxes don’t stop people from being slobs.

Tucker dunked on Lindsey Graham this week for suggesting that we loan 60 billion to Ukraine instead.

Trump literally said, the exact same thing, this week. But he doesn't call out Trump because he can't.

Its weird.

Its amazing how people keep have to explaining what "views" means in this context.

A tiny, tiny, tiny percentage of those people watched even a single minute of those interviews.

No it isn't. Most people don't even go to college. Of those who do go to college, a lot just major in humanities or science. My Bachelor of Science didn't require any economics at all. So maybe 10% of the adult population in the US has had "Econ 101".

The same is true for Nielsen Ratings also. Internet connections however, will show how long the viewer stayed connected.
