I thought it was interesting that many of the workers in the wet market were infected. Which might (or might not suggest) that it may have originated in the community rather the food sold by the wet market.

I really don’t get how this wasn’t the conspiracy theory this board latched onto rather than the its a mainstream media and liberal hoax to oust trump.
The lab devised virus actually makes sense for the actions taken by nations to clamp down on stuff so quickly.

Conspiracy theories are fun to think about, but let's keep it real. Bioweapons have a much faster death rate. And if the target was our country all they would have had to do is take a private flight here, release it in NYC and shut down travel into China as it started to spread.
It started in Seattle. A worthless place to start a bioweapon spread in the United States.
What is likely is that it was either spread from an animal to a human or it got out of the lab by what would likey be some poor lab employee selling it for money and the buyer eating it.

I don’t think it was intentionally being used as a weapon. I think it was being studied/modified for the future and it accidentally got out.
It explains why China was welding people in their homes. It explains why governments around the world are reacting differently compared to H1N1. They know/strongly suspect the real origin but announcing publicly has the potential to start WWIII
