I don't believe science has any part in making this determination because it's entirely up to the society in question to make that decision.quote:

Even our laws don't agree. We have laws that if a pregnant woman is killed, the murdered can be charged with double homicide.
Yet we also have laws that don't allow you to claim pregnancy as a dependent. So there really is no clear cut time when it becomes a full human.
The laws can definitely be contradictory. However there needs to be a clear line in my opinion.
And like everything else that can be incredibly subjective, I fully believe that decision should be left completely up to the citizens of individual states. The federal government shouldn't make that determination one way or the other.

Raskin was discussing what a nationwide abortion ban would mean for victims of rape and incest with witness and Americans United for Life President and CEO Catherine Glenn Foster, and he came to immediately regret that decision.
@greg_price11
Raskin: "The GOP witness is calling for a nationwide ban on abortions with no exceptions for rape and incest."
Foster: "If we added rape and incest exceptions, would you vote for it?"
Raskin: "Reclaiming my time."

@townhallcom
.@RepDanBishop: "Do you believe...that men can get pregnant and have abortions?"
Democrat abortion witness: "Yes."
@kimketola
There goes abortion as a woman's issue.

The unborn is only a human if it is killed while inside the womb via homicide???

The pro-abort witness is making a functional argument for personhood. IOW, at first breath.
So if you ever get the wind knocked out of you, you cease being a person.
Correctly, personhood is an ontological thing. You are one from the time your dad's egg fertilized your mom's egg.

Except it is not at all subjective. Life begins at conception. Homeostasis, consuming and expending energy, reacting to stimuli, whatever biological test for 'life' you want to come up with, begins at conception.
People who want to kill babies have done a great job in making it a philosophical debate, but there is an objective marker. People who reject that notion are not honest.
