"Trump's too dangerous to be allowed on ballot again" Anyone else find this disturbing?

This is extremely dangerous logic. How can a political party pre-empt the popular vote of an entire nation?
It's undercutting the basic premise that a nation gets to choose by popular vote its own leader, and instead must be chosen by a singular political party. This is literally what happened in the USSR.
Am I the only one troubled by this?
Heres the quote from Schiff:

Heres the quote from Schiff:
quote:
"The argument, 'Why don't you just wait?' amounts to this: 'Why don't you just let him cheat in one more election. Why not let him cheat just one more time. Why not let him have foreign help just one more time,'" Schiff said.

At least they’re finally willing to admit it.

Not surprising, remember the adage "scratch a liberal, reveal a fascist"

Technically isn't that why we are a republic? Electoral college aren't legally bound to cast their vote for the popular vote if I am not mistaken. We elect people to speak for us, but as we all know, that doesn't always happen and they can go all McCain on your arse.
To answer your original question, that is fricked up to say.

Who said this? It's outrageous. He got over 63,000,000 votes and will probably break the record for most votes in American history in 2020.

I'm so tired of the word "troubled" and "troubling" over the past few weeks, I wish people would just say "this is bullshite" and get it over with

What they really mean is he won't conform to them being able to rob the taxpayers blind.

Is that an actual quote?
I disagree with whoever said it.

Who said this out of curiosity? An actual politician or media pundit?

That's exactly why the people have put him on the ticket. He scares politicians.

You guys are so hypocritical. I mean come on. Statements like this are commonplace in an election cycle.

Well, no shite. It's the same political party.

I heard an actual quote on NPR from Schiff saying that the reason they wanted to impeach Trump was because (paraphrasing) they were concerned he would get Russia to interfere with the election again. He didnt want to give Trump a do over.
Let me look for the actual quote.

Link or add that this is your opinion.
Radical leftists use danger to democracy while cheering a coup and some even participating in it. Talk about hypocrisy...
Spare us

The current Democratic Party cannot succeed unless America suffers. Any so-called "negotiating" with them always seems to involve giving something away to them- be it individual freedom, or tax dollars.
They can shove their platform- and take the RINOS with it.

Deep down they believe this about all conservatives. If you’re anti-abortion, or even anti-abortion without limits, they think you’re ‘dangerous’ and whatever that entails. Trump has just forced them to blow their cover. Ideologically they are authoritarians in every regard. They think they know best, and they feel entitled to govern you for your own good.

Pelosi said our civilization couldn’t stand another term or something very close to that.

NBC
quote:
Pelosi and Nadler were flanked by Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters, D-Calif., Ways & Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal, D-Mass., Oversight Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., and Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot Engel, D-N.Y.
"The argument, 'Why don't you just wait?' amounts to this: 'Why don't you just let him cheat in one more election. Why not let him cheat just one more time. Why not let him have foreign help just one more time,'" Schiff said.
Extremely troubling logic.
