He has not downplayed the virus. He shutdown travel to China, then Europe while the dems were calling him xenophobic and its not necessary.
Fauci was the one downplaying this early. Telling people mask are unnecessary.
Trump has been a proponent of therapeutics that Drs were finding that worked, but Fauci, CDC, etc had to step and shut it down not to mention the media.
