I mean, its objective fact. You folks are just very confused on terminology.

American taxpayer money being given to foreign countries via military paychecks, foreign aid and Ukraine is globalism at it's finest.

Sure it is. Are you trying to say that trade with China has had zero effects on our politics?

That's not political integration.

The problem is tCult has serious problems with definitions, just like Democrats do.

Because he's a globalist, not an isolationist.

Unless you're 100% isolationist, you're a globalist too.

From the text of the order...

"In concert with the efforts of President Trump and the White House Coronavirus

Task Force to fight COVID-19, and based on guidance provided by Florida Surgeon General and State Health Officer, Dr. Scott Rivkees, all persons in Florida shall limit their movements and personal interactions outside of their home

to only those necessary to obtain or provide essential services or conduct essential activities."

quote:

"It's an order to individuals saying ... you can engage in essential services, essential activities but other than that you need to stick close to home," DeSantis said Wednesday during a press conference in Tallahassee. "Under the order you wouldn't be able to go into some of these (businesses) and conduct business and follow the order."

quote:

DeSantis said he's issuing an executive order that will direct "all Floridians to limit movements and personal interactions outside the home to only those necessary to obtain or provide essential services or essential activities."

I have no control of my tax money being stolen and given to foreign shitholes.

Protectionism is still a globalist practice, just to a lesser degree..

The video linked to that tweet used NONE of those words.

Your reading comprehension is off.

Trump acknowledging DeSantis led the way in keeping FL free/open.

None of that was stated by Trump.

He doesn't have to have said those words verbatim for what I re-tweeted to have been true. You know this.

The problem is, much like Democrats and their love for word salad, "America First" is in the exact same boat.

You want Trump making trade deals, but claim to hate globalism.

How did you successfully circumvent all the lockdowns DeSantis put in place?

Easy to do, because ya'lls messaging is really poor.

Claiming to be anti globalist while not being anti globalist is worth raising a few eyebrows over.

Well, he is. He'd have never issued a video message about going to war with trans ideology 6 weeks ago, 6 months ago, etc. Now, whether that will be more than just one off lip service to these culture war battles is questionable.

In addition to being a good substantive move, it may be politically shrewd for Trump if he's trying to force DeSantis to move/decline. DeSantis to date is far, far, far better at speaking to these issues Americans face. He's more invested, knows far more about them and can argue them more competently and persuasively.

Arguably he can't risk letting Trump encroach on that by sitting back while Trump mimics him. That said, it's probably win-win. If he's just doing it temporarily to try and erase a vulnerability he has, it'll fade and Ron will still be king on these topics. If Trump begins to take it seriously, studies the issues and becomes a competent leader on these topics...well, that's better for us if he ends up the nominee.

The messaging is poor as judged or evaluated by whom? Who exactly have you spoken with or interviewed on that particular topic whose eyebrows were raised? Because I’m suspicious that this is merely your own personal opinion that you’re assuming applies to everyone else.
