I guess Sue Gordon is the most likely leaker? Or Coates? But is John Bolton out of the question? Gina Haspel? (could it be someone still serving?)

And who we got for the leader? MBS? Xi? Putin? Kim?

Anybody else? I can't imagine the IC would get shook about Netanyahu...

I’m still not quite sure what the fuss is about? As president, trump is given broad authority in engaging with foreign leaders. He also has broad authority when it comes to disclosing classified information.

Is this a legal issue or more of a “security concern” issue similar to that story from early in his presidency about disclosing that Israeli info to russians?

Considering how progressives totally overreact to anything Trump does, I’d be willing to bet Trump promised something as simple as to call this foreign leader soon and this was what was so “troubling” to them.

Decatur, 2019: “It’s ok if the President’s phones may have been tapped, because when POTUS is speaking on the phone to foreign leaders, everybody’s listening in anyway.”

Decatur, 2016: “OMG!!! SOMEBODY HACKED HER EMAILS ON HER UNSECURED BATHROOM SERVER!!! DA HORROR!!!

He’s only the President and Commander in Chief. Clearly not authorized to negotiate on behalf of the US.

Good question. I think it's more likely the latter. I bet presidents offer things of questionable legality from time to time and the IC lets the the other branches sort those things out without blowing whistles.

All I know is there's a whistleblower complaint and it's supposed to go to Congress now.

I'm starting to get the sense that folks in positions of authority are getting a bit alarmed by this orange fellow's behaviors.

I’m getting the sense that they probably should be alarmed by the orange fellow. But not for the reasons you think.

Did he promise to send a foreign leader a pallet of cash in the middle of the night?

Maybe 20% of the US Uranium deposits for a few million in speaking fees?

Another pertinent question:

was this "promise" ever followed through? Or was it typical trump word salad where he went on a rambling episode with no intention of actually taking action and wasn't realizing what he was saying/doing?

Very relevant imo.

I think it’s so funny that you guys really think that people don’t see what’s going on here.

The first Tuesday in November, 2020 promises to be a long, agonizing night for you, good doctor.
